BOO! Banner

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year.  It was hard for me to decide on a project to feature.  I decided to make a cute little BOO! banner using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  It turned out absolutely a'boo'rable (ha ha).

This project was made using the Moonlight Paper Packet, the CTMH exclusive Cricut Artiste Cartridge, Bonding Memories Glue, a hot glue gun, my Xyron sticker machine, paper hole punch, and some twine.

To begin I cut the medallions out on my Cricut using the 'fit to page' option to cut the strips as large as I could (approximately 2 1/4" wide per strip).  I used 'accent 2' on page 77 of the Cricut Artiste pamphlet and cut two strips of each color of paper I wanted to use.  The strips were then accordion folded along the marks, the ends were glued together with the Bonding Memories Glue and held together with clothes pins as the glue dried and secured.  Finally, to finish the medallions, I used the hot glue gun in the center of the medallion.  Squeeze some hot glue in, hold it in place for about 30 seconds and then do the same on the other side of the circle.  The medallions were also hot glued to each other in the zig zag pattern in the picture.

The BOO! was cut using orange cardstock (like Autumn Terracotta) at 2" using the Cricut as found on page 77 also in the Cricut Artiste pamphlet.  The black cardstock was used to cut 2 1/2" webs, found on page 76.  I used my 5" Xyron sticker machine to run the black webs and the BOO!  After rubbing off the excess glue in the openings, I adhered it all together as seen in the picture.  To finish the banner off, I used a single paper hole punch on both ends and tied a good sized knot in the twine to use on both ends to hang the banner.

Wish I was able to get more Halloween projects done with my Cricut Artiste Cartridge before they packed it up to be shipped to Germany.  Did I mention I'm in the process of moving to Germany?  It's exciting and terrifying at the same time.  The good news, the Cricut Artiste has a lot of great Halloween projects on it for treats, cards, decoration.  You must try it!

Thanks and please leave some feedback on my project!
