Bestill my heart with Base & Bling
|
Base & Bling Oval Additions
We’ve added more zing to the bling.
You love your wearable crafts already, but did you
know the beautiful Base & Bling line has expanded? We’ve added ovals
and rectangles to the collection to really get your style in shape.
For looks that speak to who you are, try gracing your creations with
circle, square, oval, or rectangle pendants. Additionally, you might try
your wrist with a brand new cuff available exclusively in the same
attractive oval shape, in both faux antiqued silver and faux antiqued
gold. The new style sheets and glass covers to fit the bases will top
off all your projects with the perfect layer of protection and shimmer.
Are you ready to supplement your sparkle? Do it today with the expanded
Base & Bling collection.
Create your own style »
Have a girls birthday party coming up? How about a jewelry making activity? Even tweens and teens will love this keepsake. Order the pendants, chains, stickers, and charms (all items but the chains come in multiples). To adhere the glass covers, use the CTMH Liquid Glass adhesive. Simply squeeze a small amount in the center of the flat side of the glass cover after you have adhered your sticker design. The glue will spread automatically as you push the glass cover on and hold it for 10 - 30 seconds for it to fully adhere.
Tip 1: have some baby wipes handy to wipe any excess glue off of the sides for anyone that may have used too much glue. But don't worry! It dries clear.
Tip 2: use ribbon instead of the chains to save money and let the girls express their personal style even more.
Tip 3: not just for girls, tweens, and teens! This would make a lovely Mother's Day, birthday, cheer up, just because, or hello gift as well.

November SUPER lucky deals and giveaways!
November Is Your Lucky Month With Lucky 5
November is your lucky month, thanks to the Lucky 5 campaign! This campaign celebrates the five-year anniversary of Studio J®, with $5 print layouts all month long. But that is just one of the ways that you can luck out this month—when you place Studio J® print orders during November, you have a chance to win freebies. It could be a free accessory added to every fifth print order or one of five golden tickets redeemable for one of our brand new My Legacy™ D-ring albums, loaded with 10 top-load Memory Protectors™! In fact, the first golden ticket is already on its way to the first lucky winner—who will get the next one?
You could also win a new album loaded with Memory Protectors by creating beautiful layouts in Studio J and sharing the JPEG image—which comes free with every print order, or is available for separate purchase—on the Close To My Heart Facebook page, or on Instagram using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. At the end of the month, we’ll review all the entries and choose five winners based on artistry and creativity.
Selected My Legacy™ Albums Now Available
We have now made the first of our new My Legacy™ album offerings available to order! The new albums you can start ordering are the Lagoon Chevron D-ring album (Z2090), the Black D-ring album (Z3034), and the new Black post-bound album (Z2094). The price for these albums is $34.95 USD/$38.50 CAD.
You will love the new and improved quality of these albums from the moment you get your hands on one. The posts in our post-bound offerings have been made easier to use, which will increase the convenience of your memory-keeping. On our D-ring albums, we have strengthened the rings to keep your memories secure for a long time. The covers are built using a sturdy rigid material, and the exteriors are covered with coated canvas. Because canvas is a natural fiber, you may occasionally get an album with small flecks of color in the design. Such flecks are not a defect, but just part of working with natural fibers.
As for the remaining styles of albums and our organizational totes, we still expect them to be available later this month. We are happy to be able to make some albums available and will continue to keep you updated on the progress of these other items.

The Cricut® Artfully Sent Collection is flying off the shelves! Some questions have arisen about the White Daisy cardstock that comes with the collection and what the best methods are for cutting it when using a Cricut® machine. In order to address those questions, we will begin including a printed message in every Cricut® Artfully Sent collection. Here is what the message will say:
Thank you for purchasing the Cricut® Artfully Sent collection!
The White Daisy cardstock included as part of this collection makes a great base for the beautiful cards you will be creating using the Cricut® Artfully Sent cartridge from Close To My Heart. If you plan to cut one of our designed card bases or other shapes from the White Daisy cardstock using your Cricut® machine, there are a few things you should be aware of in order to get the best results.
Our White Daisy cardstock is a bright white paper that has been milled, not dyed, which leaves the cardstock more fibrous than our other cardstocks. This can cause the paper to adhere more stubbornly to the Cricut® cutting mats.
When cutting the White Daisy cardstock, we encourage you to:
- Use a less sticky mat, whether that is a mat that has seen a lot of use or the LightGrip mat available from Cricut®.
- Change your blade pressure to medium.
- Double-cut the image using the “repeat last” function.
We know you are going to love using this unique and innovative collection to create and share heartfelt messages with the people who matter most in your life.
Please contact me if you have any further questions or want to order any of these products!

Balloon Ride Blog Hop Project
Welcome to the Balloon Ride Blog Hop! If you came from The Leaf Studio, you are in the
right place. If you have just arrived here to see my post and stumbled
upon our great Balloon Ride paper blog hop, you can go to the Damask Divas Balloon Hop page for the full list of participants and projects.
For the Balloon Ride blog hop, I was going to do something fancy,
amazing, large scale because I LOVE this paper packet. But, then the
month of April flew by with so much going on, including my mom flying out to
visit and taking her to Greece for a whole week (in addition to a few places
closer to our home). I ended up having to do my crafting project last
minute. That is just how it goes so often though, doesn't it? My
much quicker project is what you see pictured here. I made a great
mother's day card, though the sentiment could be used for many general card
giving opportunities, including a great thank you card. I am listing a
number of items in the ‘what you need’ section here. However, I used leftover scrap paper from my
Balloon Ride Scrapbooking Workshop On The Go and a piece of Colonial White
Cardstock. All of the colors I used are
available in the Paper Packet as well.
You can also change the sentiment if you have another stamp set you want
to use and then fussy cut around it if there is not a coordinating Cricut image
to cut for you.
Here is what you need to make this card:
How to:
1.
Cut the Colonial White Cardstock to
5"x7" and 7" x 10". Emboss the 5" x 7" with
the Quatrfoil embossing folder. The 7" x 10" piece of paper is
folded in half to form a 5" x 7" card.
2.
Cut a 5" x 1" strip of Crystal
Blue Cardstock
3.
Cut a 3 1/2" x 7" piece of the hot air
balloon print B&T duos paper from the Balloon Ride Paper Packet
4.
Use the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut a
2 ¼” <Rctngle7> (on page 55 of the accompanying booklet)
5.
Use the chocolate distressing ink pad along all
of the edges of your cut pieces, except the card base.
6.
Attach the embossed paper to the front of your
card base using the Bonding Memories Glue
7.
Attach the hot air balloon paper centered
vertically onto the embossed card front.
I used the Tombow adhesive for this one.
8.
Stamp the border on the Crystal Blue paper using
the Saddle Ink. Stamp on the top edge,
flip and then stamp along the bottom edge.
Attach using the Tombow adhesive.
9.
Stamp the sentiment in Sorbet Ink on the Cricut
cut base. Attach the sentiment using the
3D foam tape.
Thank you so much for checking out my Balloon Ride paper blog hop
project! Please, before you leave this page, leave me some love in the
comments below. Then head over to The Gypsy Chic to see her beautiful card and super cool
technique.
